.

Thank you all so much for the purrs for the PM. It was a rough, painful, sleepless week but over the weekend her neck really improved and it now hurts only a smidgen.

I am glad to be back as I was getting a little bored waiting. Last night I did another escape move and took off running when they came home. I got about twenty feet, freaked myself out with all the wind and ran back to the door. Am I getting all soft?? I will have to ponder that this week.

Now, I want to move on to our big review.

Our friend, Drew from The World's Best Cat Litter had contacted us to see if we wanted to give this litter a try. We said sure, who wouldn't be up for a pooping experiment. They sent us a bag to try.

This is a clumping litter made from renewable whole-kernel corn and is 100% biodegradable. They claim it is the best at controlling odor, is much safer for cats to use, clumps quickly, easily scoopable and lasts a long time.

So one bag is supposed to last three cats for ten days. We filled up the pan.

I gave it my mancat inspection.

Then had a little whizz.

Here are our results.

  • The litter is so pretty, you could put it in glass bowls and use it as decorations. Lovely yellow colour. The PM says it is so much better to look at then our regular grey stuff.
  • It smells fresh and really does do a great job with taking care of any odors.
  • Also rates high on the clumping/scooping factor.
  • The only problem we had was when the PM put our other litter box down too, like when they were going to be gone for the day/overnight, we exclusively used the old grey stuff. The PM found that odd. Shade said the litter was too nice to mess up. It looked like it should be sprinkled on yogurt with fruit for a light snack. But when we just had the one litter, we used it without any complaint.

Overall, we agree this litter is great. We can purchase it near here too. We haven't gone to check it out yet so we don't know about the cost per bag. We are assuming it is more costly than our regular stuff but it does seem to last longer and the PM says it was so much nicer to clean. We don't know if a switch is in the budget but it is definitely worth a try and we recommend it to our feline friends.

Thanks Drew for letting us try this out!

We just laughed and laughed at Shade's suggestion of sprinkling the litter on Yoghurt! Interesting review overall. Not an issue for is as the stuff isn't sold around here.

As for your exit and rappid re-entrance, Goldie. Maybe "wiser" would be a better choice of words than older?!

Since trying WBCL earlier in the year, we have not gone back to clay clumping litter. We love this stuff and mom loves it because it's safer for us to use!

You're very brave! We wouldn't let any photos be taken of us using the litter, but you can pull it off in a very mancatly way, Goldie!

We love World's Best! And it's not so 'pretty' when we're done with it ;)

Hi Goldie. So glad to hear that the PM's neck is finally starting to feel better. We hope you gave her a massage and purrs to help her feel better.

As for World's Best, we all like it quite well and Meowmy likes that the dust is much less nasty than clay litter dust. One 17-pound bag is expensive, but lasts a long time, even with all four of us and six litter boxes!

Goldie that was nice of you to jump in and take a whiz for the sake of experimentation!

So the real scoop...did you like it better than peeing on ice?

We are glad your mum's neck is getting better.
That was a good review on the litter. We don't think it is sold in the UK so we wouldn't be able to try it anyway.

Glad it sort of worked for you! We tried it, but our mom filled one box with and one with our old stuff...we would only use the old stuff...which disappointed mom because she liked the WBCL...she may try it again sometime and add it to our old litter slowly...

Glad to hear your PM is feeling better! And, mom doesn't think we have that litter near us! She's always on the lookout for odor control litter, since ther are (once again) 4 of us!

Great job, Goldie! It's nice to have a litter to match your golden furs, as well as one that smells nice and looks good.

We have tried WBCL and we like it. However, we have never had the urge to sprinkle it on yogurt. How funny.

Jan likes it but since she doesn't use it, she hasn't been allowed to voice an opinion in our reviews.

We like WBCL and Meowm likes it. It is a little more pricey than the other stuff Meowm used to buy, but she hasn't switched us back, so she must be willing to pay a little extra.

We are glad yo ur PM is feeling better.

Sounds like great kitty litter, but were not sure we would want to use it for decorations.

Oops... sorry, I accidentally posted it under the wrong account. Let me try again...

Hello there. Thanks for visiting my new blog! That sure was an interesting litter review. The lady and man are still trying to figure out the litter box situation. They had been putting litter stuff directly into those plastic containers, and then someone told them about liners, so they went out and bought some. Yours doesn't have a liner? So, which is it -- are litter boxes supposed to have liners or not? The lady and man are very confused.

Also, how many times do you "go" a day? The lady and man are astounded that I can hold it all all ALL day!
