.

There has been some more fighting between Shade and Banshee while everyone was away overnight at Christmas. When they returned they saw that Shade had another big scratch on her nose and the PM noticed on the weekend that Shade has pulled some fur off her side. At first she thought she was losing fur but she saw her washing and she'd pull out her fur in one spot. The PM feels that Shade is stressed because of Banshee. There is not much fighting when they are home but I think the PM intervenes and prevents wars from breaking out.

When the beans are gone, Banshee also worries she is going to starve and becomes a little crazy around the food. So the PM thinks she'll have to put Banshee or Shade in the playroom with food/water/litter and beds when they are gone. Shade also has to go to the V-E-T soon so she'll bring it up then.

Any suggestions? I worry the PM will start getting a stress bald spot too!!

Wow! What a holiday! Lots of excitement around here but I must say I will be glad when things get back to normal.

Banshee started things off this year, attacking a gift for us under the tree on Christmas Eve.

It started with a simple lick them she ripped into to it!

It was our gift from our city cousins! Thanks Sissy, Bella and Kenny!!

Christmas morning we all hung out together and helped the wee ones with their stockings and gifts!

Overall we had a great Christmas with lots of treats and goodies! I hope you all had a nice Holiday too!!!!

34 Meows

Cat tree

Cat tree

The big day is almost here are we are all pretty excited. The Grampie brought us a cat tree to put up somewhere and the PM put it in the kitchen. She put some ribbons on it with a red felt reindeer garland. Next she put on the gorgeous catnip tree ornament we received from Luna, Luzie and Olli all the way from Germany! The PM had opened the package when they were storm stayed in town so no pics of the unwrapping. She was very suprised as Luna had included some chocolates, tea, stickers, a bookmark and cool cat chews in the gift. Wow! The wee ones were very excited to try chocolates from Germany!

I gave the tree a going over...

... and of course Miss Banshee did too but we didn't destroy it and the PM put it on our tree.

We have just admired it from afar since.

We also decorated our tree with all the beautiful cards that we received from all of our friends.

Wishing you all a wonderful, fun and furry Holiday!!!!!!

OK, OK! So I haven't been perfect but it isn't all bad, the tree still standing and all the ornaments are in place. Goldie just gets a little jealous that I come up with all the fun games.

The PM is so in love with me that it would have to take a lot more to get her upset. Even if she is a wee bit mad, she sees me like this...

...and like this. Then all is forgiven.

Do you see how close my foot is to Shade? I can sneak it closer to her as it is white and blends in.

I have also joined Goldie on the nightly wee ones bed routine. We both sit in the livingroom while the PM reads and then we go upstairs with them. Goldie lays on one bed and I lay on the bottom of the other. The wee ones are tickled pink.

It's all good.

They are back!!

We had missed them but right now I'd enjoy another day to myself. The wee ones seem like they are on permanent vibrate mode. I thought last year was crazy, this year takes the cake. It has also been -25 C here with the wind chill, so I can't even find refuge outside! We are in the middle of a snow storm this morning so I won't be headed outside anytime soon.

Somethings happened while the PM was away.

Somecat decided to pick out all the Q-tips out of the garbage and throw them around the house.

Somecat in obsessed with the pinecone lights in the tree.

Somecat had a tussle with Shade.

Yep, Shade's nose has a war wound.

I don't like being a tattle tale but I don't want the PM to think this was me!

I will give a hint, her name rhymes with Smanshee.

The final installment is here!! We are so curious to find out how it ends! I can't believe I look so dashing!! Check it out over at Sassy's Place.

We also received a couple of awards this week.
Thank you so much Loa's Babies

We also received this beautiful award from our friend Cory.

It came with this wonderful explanation.

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

Cory chose to pass this on to a lot of the blogs we would have chosen also. We will pass this on to Siena and Chilli and The Poupounette pals.

The PM made some arrangements with trees from our yard and put them where she thought we would not bother them. Well, I have never been on that ledge above the sink but having that new greenery there made me want to check it out.

I am now up here all the time! But I haven't laid a paw on anything.

I might start wreaking havoc though if you don't stop bugging me with that camera!!!!!!

We are taking a break for the rest of this week as the PM and the wee ones are going away. We will be with the MM when he's not working. We are putting up a post tomorrow but we can't go visiting as they are leaving at 5am. I think the PM should get up real early so we can go visiting but I think that's pushing it!! Have a wonderful week all!!!!!!

We are all enjoying the decorations that are up, they seem to have brought out the playful side of Shade. She has been sleeping and playing under the Christmas tree. It must remind her of summer, having a real tree inside.

Banshee and I are rather fascinated by this turn of events.

We also wanted to do a love post for Vampy Victor. It was his two year old birthday and he posted this meme.

Victor's Birthday Love In
So because I am a little ball of love made corporeal I figured That you guys always hear my stories of conquest and loving.. I would love to hear yours.
There is no real rules, just hear a story of seduction or love, hooman or furry baby,(hey I need new techniques).

It was very hard to narrow it down to one so we are going to talk about two things.

First off we'll talk of romantic love. The PM and MM are a little on the wild side sometimes and they decided to get married in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas. They could have even had an Elvis Impersonator sing but they didn't. Anyway, the romantic part came after on their honeymoon. They went on a road trip through Arizona and when they were visiting the Grand Canyon, the PM took out the flowers she had saved from her wedding and threw them into the canyon. That was a very, very long way down!!

Now, motherly love. When the PM was 8 and her sister was 6 years old, their mom got very, very sick and had to go to a bigger city 4 hours away for treatment. She had been there for weeks and the girls were missing their mom quite a bit. They shared a room and one night they both woke up and saw their mom standing at the window. She was wearing a green nightdress, the same one she was wearing at the hospital. She didn't say anything but the girls felt comforted and went back to sleep. They later found out that their mom almost died that night. She loved her girls so much that she came by to make sure they were OK. People think that the PM and her sister must have dreamt it but how could they both dream the same thing? They were both looking for their mom the next morning as they thought she had come home. Their mom got better and came home and we are very glad as The Nanny gives us lots of love when she comes to visit!!!

I am so excited!!! I make my big screen debut this week! Part one of the Momomo Caper is revealed today! Check it out over at Sassy's Place.

The beans just got home and it has been raining/ freezing rain for a couple of days now. They were supposed to be home yesterday morning but couldn't make it as the road was treacherous. They always leave us extra food and water so we were OK but the PM was worried as this was the first time Banshee was left out with us while they were away. Banshee was very well behaved though. The PM was happy to see the Christmas tree in one piece and still standing but not so pleased with the 8 inches of water in the basement! Our basement is only 4 feet high so we don't keep anything down there. Quite a mess though.

The PM took some time out of the craziness to do our draw. Thank you so much for all the comments! We put everyone in for the draws, even our overseas friends as the PM wanted all included.

She put all the names on pieces of paper and the wee ones each picked out one.

The wee lad went first and picked the winner of the fray cat ray rug and the winner is......

Our good friend, Victor!! Oh, the lovin' that's going to be going on on that mat!!!!!

The PM finished our shrews as she was smart and brought them in town with her.

She had to hide them from us as we were going a bit crazy with them!

The wee lass picked out the name for this draw. The winner of the toy shrews is....

Our wonderful friend, Fui !!!

The PM was laughing as both of our winners were from "Down Under"!! The wee lad didn't know what she thought was so funny. The PM said she should have made a video of the drawing but her brain is a bit frazzled!!

Fui, we have your address from the Christmas cards and we'll put your shrews in the mail tomorrow!
Victor, you can send us your address at danica_130 at yahoo dot com and we'll get the love mat out to you!

This is going to be a crazy weekend but we are going to try and visit as many of our friends as we can.

Have a great one, all!!!!

We are so very sorry to hear that our dear friend Skeeter has gone to the Bridge. He lived a wonderful life filled with love, friends, warmth and adventure. We will miss him and send our purrs of comfort to his Big Thing, Mark and his fur family, LC and Ayla.

The PM is storm stayed in the city so we do not have any nice photos to add.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...

(trad. Celtic prayer)

Skeeter, scout out the best hunting spots on the Bridge and we'll run in the wilds when we meet
again.

We just read about sweet Cloud Chaser and Mr. Kelly. Three lovely mancats gone to the Bridge. Purrs to all their families.

We are moving on to our last sign.
This week it is~

Leo pets are leaders. They have lots of energy and are always ready to play but they are also strong protectors of their homes.

These pets sounds great!! They sound like Eric and Flynn.
Chilli, does this sound like you?

Is anycat a Leo or knows a Leo?

That was fun!!! I hope you enjoyed my pet Zodiac posts!!! Thanks to The Old Farmer's Almanac for Kids for the cool info!!!

Good day everyone! Today is our first year blogaversary. We have had a great year and met many wonderful friends.

On a serious note, we were sad to hear about our friend Skeeter, this morning. He has taken a turn for the worse and may to soon going to the Bridge. We will be purring for him and the rest of his family today. You should drop by and leave some words of comfort for those fine felines and their bean, The Big Thing.

We love being part of this cat blogging community where we share our lives and experiences with cats and beans all over the world. We share the good times, the funny times, the scary times and the sad. It is nice to know others care and that we can help ease the pain a tiny bit with our purrs and comforting words.

As a Great Big Thank You to all of our friends we have decided to have a giveaway.

The first item we are giving away is this cat mat. The wee ones wanted to call it a fat cat mat, I liked fray cat ray rug ( as in sunrays) but for now we are going with cat mat. A friend of the PM's makes Rag Quilts and the PM liked them and thought she could do a mini version. This is the first one she has made. It measures about 26' by 26' and is made out of cotton flannel with cotton batting in between. On this side the edges are raw and frayed.

On the other side, it looks more like a regular quilt with just the ruffled edges.

Hello, my dear friend, Pépé Le Pew. Thank you for helping me celebrate my happy day!

I have to tell you, I worked very hard on this mat. I helped with the cutting...

and the sewing. I wanted it to be real nice.

Sometimes I had to crack the whip.
"Keep it movin' PM!!! You can take a break when it is all cut out!!!"

Now that it is all ready; I give a little roll...

I give a little wash...

OK! It's ready to go! Apricot floof as an added touch.

Now we have a second item to give away but I am afraid they are not finished yet. I know, I need to hire new help. I am really at my wits end. We have a Bag O' Shrews for you too. They are now just a Bag O' Flat Shrews but the PM has promised me they will be done by the winners announcement on Friday. They better or someone will be getting a nice Stocking O' Turd for Christmas. The PM made some for our Pro Mouser contest that Skeeter, LC and Ayla won. For a preview to what they will look like you can see the post they had when they got their prize. The ones we are giving away are a different colour and there are three in this bag.

I also have another bone to pick with the PM. I want you to go over to our first post ever and see what is missing.  You can check it out here . I'll wait.

Ok, did you see the problem???

Yep, where was the handsome mancat photo of yours truly? Two snow pics and none of me. I am talkin' but no one can see me. To make up for that grand oversight, I will leave you with this awe inspiring photo of me in repose.

There's that's much better.

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you want your name put in for the draws, just let us know when you leave a comment. The wee ones will be drawing names Thursday night and we will be announcing the winners on Friday!
