First off we'd like to say a big Welcome to Tama-Chan's new fur family over at The Poupounette. We are so happy to see those sweet faces!
This weekend we tried some good 'ol fun with the PM. Trying to get her to loosen up a bit. I suggest you read carefully, take notes and give it a whirl sometime this week.
Friday~ The PM just had a bath and is reading in bed. Her eyes are gelled, face- vitamin E'd, lips- beeswaxed and hands are nut body buttered. I jump up for a little snuggle. This rarely happens as I normally go to bed with the wee lad. This was part of my switch things up plan. The PM is happy to see me and holds her book in one hand while petting me with the other. As she keeps petting, her hand is getting layered with lovely apricot floof as body butter appears to be quite a fur magnet. I then notice a stupid fly, lazily bumping around in her bedside lamp. I find myself suddenly wanting a snack and quickly spring into action. I jump to get the fly while running my flank and wondrous tail over the face of the PM. She gets full of more fur and then takes her previously furred hand to try and wipe off her now furry face. Quite the fun. Fur flying, PM practically choking. She has to go back downstairs and get all washed up again.
Good times, good times.
Saturday~ The PM is going through her bottom pantry cupboards, making grocery lists. I sneak into one to snoop. A few minutes later she hears the dreaded sound.
Yaach-ugh, Yaach-ugh, Yaach-ugh, SPLAT
She looks in the cupboard and I have had a hairball from the upper shelf into her box of Tupperware on the bottom shelf. Really, you should have seen her face. Filled with wondrous joy.
Sunday~ This one Shade came up with all on her own. I am very impressed. To set the stage, the PM just went to bed and is almost asleep. Shade jumps up and is cold and wants under the covers. No problem, this happens all the time. As an aside, the PM is very, VERY particular about her bedding. She's like the princess and the pea. She can't stand any sort of debris in bed with her. No tiny pieces of sand, no hairs, no lint balls. She feels them when she moves around and it drives her crazy. She was not aware that Shade had just used the litter box and was hiding within her pads, a load of gravel like particles. Shade gets comfy and does a wonderful four leg stretch. As she stretches her paws, she dumps the litter in the PM's bed. She then decides she wants on the other side of the PM and starts to clamber over. The PM sighs as she was almost asleep and moves over a bit to give Shade some room. As she does this, her thigh grazes the litter pile. In truth, it was only a few grains but it feels like coarse sandpaper. The PM has to get up and clean out the sheets. Then she couldn't fall asleep. Such a cute trick, Shade.
"What's that Shade? You say the PM wasn't filled with joy? No? Her face was all tight and red."
She was just stifling a big giggle, I bet.
Let it out, PM. Let. It. Out.

Thank you, dear friends, for welcoming my new family! They are keeping me very busy!
I very much enjoyed reading about your weekend activities and have taken notes...

Haha! Good job for getting at the PM!! Goldie, we 'specially like the thought of her getting your furs all in her creams and things!!
Oh, oh, I can picture all the scenes pretty well. I don't know about PM, but I'm laughing :-)
Goldie, you've got SKILLS, buddy! Hahahaha!
You're really shaking things up over at your house! What wonderful holiday skills!
MOL! Pawsome! We were definitely taking furry careful notes!
HAHAHA! If the PM didn't giggle--we DID! Love your story of the weekend (and the photos)--priceless
MOL and LOL!!! We bet your PM wasn't nearly as amused as this story made us! WTG!!!
Now THAT's entertainment! I love the hairball hurl. I have to remember that one...

It's all part of the joy of cats! Sometimes it seems a little much, I guess when all these things happen at once.
See, it was great for a giggle -- it makes a good story.
Those are great tricks! We get our Meowm sometimes with the fur on the hands and lips. We especially love the fur on the lips!
What a great post, Goldie!!!
Tell Shade to tell your PM that a little bit of cat hair and litter can serve as a natural exfoliant. In fact, the PM should be thanking Shade for the extra beauty treatment touches. Some PM's will go to the salon and pay big bucks for what Shade can help with right at home.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today and leaving such a nice comment for Glogirly. She's smiling really big!
... and don't worry about the snowshoe comment... of course I know you're not hillbillies!!!
mew!

Hahaha! We would have liked to see the PM with a furry face and hands. She wouldn't like Eric getting in bed with her. Mum has had to shut us indoors at night now because Eric kept going out in the garden in the middle of the night and coming back in with his paws all clogged up with mud. Then he would make biscuits on the pillows before getting under the covers. Mum would wake up to muddy pillows and a layer of soil in the bed.
What a pawsome weekend!!! You & Shade were fantastic ;) We loved the yack attack, heeheehee
Man,we gotta do that too ;)
Tama-Chan's kittens are very cute :)
Purrs Mickey,Georgia & Tillie
