Goldie is not up to talking about this so I will. The rules for Goldie going out are that he can't go out before breakfast and after supper. The PM let him out around 8am a couple of days ago and a few minutes later she heard the barking. She opened the door and Goldie was puffed up on the doorstep and the fox was barking at him only about 5 feet away. She ran away a bit when the PM opened the door. Goldie was brought in and the PM ran after the fox to chase her.

The next day, the PM threw out some bread for the birds and a few minutes later she heard Goldie growling in the livingroom window. She looked out and the fox was back in the front yard. Goldie has never growled before.

Here's the fox that morning, looking for Goldie. Yes, it is almost May and we still have SNOW!!!!!

The next day she went out with Goldie in the morning and had a whistle with her. It was a test. Sure enough, about three minutes later over comes the fox. The PM blew the whistle but that didn't work. She picked up Goldie and started yelling at the fox who finally turned around and ran back into the field. The PM has come to the conclusion that the fox hangs around each morning and waits to hear the door open.

There is only one thing left to do with Goldie in the mornings...

The PM doesn't want Goldie to run to far in the mornings so she will take him out on his harness just incase. This will not be pretty.

You still have snow? Brr... we have 36 degree here.

This with the fox is not nice at all. I don't want to imagine having a fox hanging around our house! The harness is a good idea then I guess.

Good luck for all of you!

Lets see... Snow? No thank you. Harness, No Thank you. Fox, BIG No thank you.

Poor Goldie! We'd be growling too!

Oooh, Goldie. You may not like that harness, but it's a lot better than being at the receiving end of Fox's teeth. Owie.

This makes my litterbox sound better all the time.

Goldie please wear your harness and be careful. I would be very sad if anything happened to you.

I can hardly believe you still have snow where you live! I am sorry that Mr. Fox ruined Goldie's freedom. Still, I do not mind going out on my harness and leash.

You'd better do as the PM says Goldie! We're not even allowed out if Mommy has seen the fox recently! The good news is that our fox hasn't been around much since the snow went.

Goldie you haf to be furry careful wiv the fox, we don't want anyfing to happen to you. Many years ago mum had a big ginger boy called Marmi, and one day she heard him making a horrible yowling noise. She ran out the door to see what wuz happening and there wuz a big dog fox about ten feet away furrom him and they wuz having a face off. Mum is sure if he turned his back, the fox would have had him, and that he wuz calling mum furr help. That really skeered mum.

How unfortunate to have a nasty fox ruins Goldie's fun. Better to wear the harness and be safer, Goldie.

Oh my that Foxy is looking for a tasty golden treat it seems... :S Good idea for Goldie to keep the PM on a leash, so that the foxy doesn't go after her too! :)

Snow, still! The fox looks good in that landscape but not nice for Goldie. Please be careful, Goldie! Stay indoors!

Your pawrents might want to look around (or online) for an enclosure of some kind for you. There are some nice big ones out there, and some your pawrents can build themselves.

You really don't want to wind up as a fox's dinner, for sure, for sure.
