.

It was nice enough for us to have the window open a crack for about five minutes.

It was lovely, hearing those birds singing, smelling the breeze.

The day before, we had about 100 Goldfinches hanging around. Yum!

The pheasant has been venturing close to the house, checking the other feeders.

He has dug himself a hole in the snow and scratches the snow to get the buried seeds.

He is very nervous though and if he sees a movement in the windows, he takes off double quick!

Goldie is showing signs of being in the house too long. The pheasant was over by our thistle feeder which is only a couple of feet from the house. Goldie was watching him with his ears all flat. He then started making a sound and the PM thought he was chittering but no; he has hissing!! Yep, big ol' Goldie was afraid of a dang bird!

Oh Goldie, you are silly. You should make that pheasant afraid of you, not the other way round.

You have a LOT of great looking birdies visiting your house.

Those Finches are so tiny, they'd make perfect treats! Like french fries!

MOL! Well, Goldie, it has been a long winter. All those birdies sure do look fun to watch and drool over. Banshee, you look so cute looking out the window with your ears all forward and alert.

Maybe Goldie was just mad that the darn pheasant was roaming his territory and he was stuck inside! That pheasant actually reminds me of an ostrich with his head in the snow!

Soon spring will be here! We have lots of melting going on around here, in Ottawa. Hope you get some of the same.
