It has been so rainy and cool, we've taken to observing the greenery from here~
Not that Banshee ever got out anyway, she too cuckoo outside.
Remember this big egg thingy from a few weeks ago?
Well guess what came out? Not a dinosaur or a body snatcher.
It was a Cecropia moth! The largest moth in North America!
Isn't she a beauty?
You can get the scoop and more pics over at the PM's new blog, Verdant Wilds!

It is beautiful... but my Mummy is a bit scared.
We love moths, the bigger the better! Our Mom was shuddering though...
All we can say is WOW!!
What a beautiful Moth.
Rainy and muggy here, so we are stuck inside too.
Oh goodness, that moth is beautiful and amazing (and a little bit skerry)!
We know our Mum would shriek and run away if she saw that moth coming towards her - the great wuss that she is!! However we would love to try and catch it.
OMC! That moth is AWESOME!
That moth is ENORMOUS!! I think I'd be afraid of something that big...but she is pretty.
That is a gorgeous moth. My Mom says she hasn't seen one of those in years.
That moth is GORGEOUS!!! Mom LOVES moths! She's never seen one of them before! Thanks for sharing and also, was happy to know it wasn't Body Snatchers!

Wow! For a moth, it certainly is beautiful. Usually moths are rather nondescript. I think I'm a little afraid of it, though. It's huge!
Hope you two enjoy sniffing all the fresh air you can get!
Oh my goodness! That is quite a moth!
What an amazing moth!
What a gorgeous moth! And I bet it is tasty too - in fact that looks like a whole Moth Meal!
That is FANTASTIC! Mommy was majorly weirded out about the egg sac thingy...but look what came out!
May Ling is chittering...she doesn't realize that moth is almost as big as she is!

That looks like a great spot to view the world from!
That moth is huge!!!
Wow! That moth would be big enough for both of us. We like it when the big moths come into the kitchen at night in the summer. We wake mum up charging around after them.
What a beautiful moth! I still think I'd like to eat it...but there might be leftovers!
Pee Ess...we stopped by your mom's blog and we love it! My mom and dad started one back in January, but they got lazy maintaining it. At least they have their priorities straight. My blog comes first!!
xoxo Cory
Wow, we'd never seen that kind of moth before. It's so neat you got to to see it develop from a cocoon and metamorphosis into a moth.
That is the most amazingly beautiful moth! Thanks for sharing it with us!
"Oh My" my mom said she'd faint if she ever saw a moth that size...She's a chicken :)
Well it's pretty and icky at the same time!

That egg thingy is very scary looking. It would have been really cool if it hatched a dinosaur, but that ginormous moth is pretty amazing too. Wow!
