Cold, Cold, Cold

Cold, Cold, Cold

Things have been wild inside and frigid outside here out in the woods.

The PM is having a crazed sorting and organizing fit this month and no one is safe. Each wee one had a room redo, every closet is scoured, the school stuff has been gone through and the MM's music room is getting thinned out. The PM wants to be able to have one tiny corner of the house for her wool/fleece as she has everything in bags in her closet and says that does not promote creativity. Even our toys were cleaned out!

We have been staying out of the way by either being by the wood stove, in a bed upstairs or by the windows downstairs. The fire has been on daily as it is way to cold. This week it has been -20 with a wind chill of -38. The PM runs outside in the mornings to feed the birds and that's it! At least the sun has been shining so we get lots of passive solar rays.

I spend my time between the side window and the front one. The feeder is closer to the house on the side so I enjoy the close and personal view.

We have three furry friends around this year who are very fun to watch.

They don't get along so we see lots of scampering and swearing!

The PM keeps her rug hooking frame on the side of my bed in the front and I LOVE it! When the critters arrive in the morning, I like to stay in the bottom of the frame.

I feel undercover and well protected. Some of those Mourning Doves are huge!

Then I gather my nerve and head topside.

Good morning my sweets.

There's another red devil.

He is pure badness that one.

Stay warm furriends!

Brr! It looks cold out there, but yay for the entertainment!

What wonderful views you have from your windows - and so much food outside waiting for you to select for your dinner menu. The cold weather seems a small price to pay for it.

You are lucky that you have such interesting programmes to watch on your TV when it is too cold to go outside.

I think our birdies and squirrels went away 'cause it's so cold. We hardly ever see them any more.

You have a great observing place there.
Your little outdoor guests are cute. Love the photo of the squirrel.
So kind that your humans helps them to find food.

*Stay warm, friends*

Such exciting window watching you have. Good thing you're inside...it's WAY to cold for kitties outdoors.

Everything is so pretty and the animals seem to be okay; but that is just too cold for me.

Yes, even my 3-D Cats who love to go outside have been hunkering indoors lately. That's what you're doing there, Banshee - hunkering!

At least you have lots of different programs on your reality TV. Different kinds of birdies, and squirrels -- we love squirrels, here. Yours are very cute, even the bad one!

Let's all hope together for an early Spring!

We are so jealous at all the wild life you can see from your windows but we must say we prefer it a little warmer than your weather!

Our mom is doing the same crazy organizing...in the basement where we are not allowed to go. And we have the same squirrel!

It is NEVER EVER good when the Bein goes on a cleanin binge. There isn't as much good stuff ta nap behind (away from brothers and sisters), and toys are hard ta locate (they just ARENT where ya left them).

Mom says that your mom can come over when she's done with your house and sort all her stuff out too. It's good to do that sort of thing once in a while. We bet it even means you'll get NEW toys. Ha!
All your furry friends must be so much fun to watch.
