flies for lunch

flies for lunch

That had to be the longest weekend in history. The PM said I could blog today as a distraction was needed desperately.

Thanks for all your kind words and thoughts. They buried Baby Kitty at the cottage with all *the cats who came before* so he is in good company. He was the first cat to have died young and without warning so that is why everyone is walking around still stunned. The PM is upset that she didn't pet him goodbye when they were over at the party last week. He was asleep in his favorite chair and she didn't want to wake him. Now she'll never be able to pet him again and she's sad about that. She must be trying to come to terms with that as she has been petting me and Shade so much there is furr flying everywhere. So always take the time to say goodbye to your furr friends as you never know when something might happen.

I have been trying to make myself useful this weekend so I have been busy eating flies. I am not allowed to eat the ladybugs, but they are too crunchy anyway.

I stalk them quietly. They are so stupid.

Bam!! I got em. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Sometimes I have to stretch to reach the real big ones. I am so good.

I like to eat bugs too, as they are salty. But I usually get the big ones that pass for roaches here in Florida.

We are so sorry to hear that Baby Kitty went to the Bridge. :( You have our condolences. Hugs and purrs to you and his family.

Eating flies? You are a great hunter! We've never caught or eaten any bugs.

Great you are catching flies! I guess the humans in your house are really happy about this. Chica and Pumuckl love to catch mosquitoes which is very useful indeed.

Oh, how sad that beautiful Baby Kitty died so young and so tragically. I know he's in a place with lots of other kitties and treats even better than Greenies!

I'm not very good at catching bugs, especially flies. Treater says that's because I'm afraid of everything that moves and I don't practice my skills. I would just rather sleep...and eat. But today, I'm hiding under the bed. Treater is unpacking all of these boxes and I don't want to get my tail stepped on!

I think you are right, flies are a little bit dumb.

It is so sad that Baby Kitty had to go to the Bridge so suddenly, and so young. But it is a good reminder to treasure every day we have together.

Wow, you are really good!
I used to LOVE catching bugs back in the day.
Any loss of a kitty is a sad thing. We are still grieving over our Caesar.
He was the best.
<3 Grieving takes time... a long time.
Do not try to cut it short. Let your heart heal slowly.

I am so sorry to hear about Baby Kitty. It's so hard when a furriend dies like that. I am purring for the family in this difficult time.

I don't seem to be bothered with flies, only the crawlies and mice.

Thankyou wo much for visitng an purring for me when I was ill. I am much better now although the vet is still not happy about my blood tests. I am not allowed out yet, much as I would like to.

I don't do bugs. I ate one once that made me foam at the mouth. Bleech. Now I watch from a distance. I admire your skills!
