Banshee's Kittens

Banshee's Kittens

First off we'd like to thank everyone for their concern over Shade's poor nose. It is healing nicely and does not appear to be infected. She is still trying to escape though. The PM said she'll be taking her out with her harness. Shade is the only one who will put up with a harness as she had to wear one for years.

Since it is Mother's Day weekend, I thought I would talk a bit about my kittens. I was found in a field, almost dead from starvation, a year ago with my five kittens. We were brought to a shelter where I had to be fed with liquid to build my strength so I could take care of my babies. I got stronger and so did they. When they were big enough, they were adopted and I was the last one to leave six months later, when I decided to adopt this family in the woods. I think about my kittens sometimes. When I escaped once, I ran around crying and the PM thought it looked like I was looking for my kittens. I hadn't been outside in the wilds since I had them so I was worried they hadn't made it inside.

It makes the PM a little sad to think about my kittens, she said she would have adopted one also if there had been any still with me.

The wee lass loves to think of my kittens. She has a kitten collection and everyone once in awhile I find myself surrounded by them. It is kind of comforting.

When the PM brought me home, they gave her a sign they had made for me as I was the longest female resident at the shelter and I needed some advertising.

They had called me Mama at the shelter. I would like to introduce to you my son, Mo. He was the only kitten left when they made this and he left shortly afterwards. Cute little fella, if I do say so myself.

This Mother's Day, I'd like to send warm, purry wishes to all the Moms out there, bean and feline alike. I would like to also send some snuggles to my kittens too, wherever they are, hopefully being loved and cared for as they deserve!

Banshee darling, you truly are a remarkable ladycat. To get your babies through such a torrid beginning to the point that they could go to their Forever homes is a mammoth effort.

We wish you and your mum a very happy mother's day:)

Oh banshee. that was a good story. You've got yourself a wonderful home now. And yes, Mo was adorable. We hope you'll stop trying to run away and realize how good you've got it. The harness isn't so bad. Mom takes me out on it ALL the time. She says i'm just too clumsy and she's afraid i'll fall through the balcony. -tesla

We are glad you are all back blogging again. We have been locked up for two weeks and have just read all your posts to catch up.
Poor Shade, we hope your nose is healing well. Mum is always telling us that when we stick our noses down holes, one day we will have something hanging off the end of them when we come back out!
