I am getting a little concerned that I may be losing some of my feline sensibilities.
As I have stated before, I am not a hunter and take a pacifist stand on the whole mouser business. I fear I have inherited more than my dislike of violence from this family. I live with a family of vegetarians and I am afraid I am swinging a little towards their way of eating.
The PM would not have believed this if she hadn't seen me doing it.
She opened the door and caught me eating this.
See, Goldie had maimed a deer mouse and the PM took Goldie inside so the mouse could recover. She brought out this bowl of food and some water in case the mouse needed some refreshments. The mouse ran away under the roses but she left the food out just in case. A couple of hours later she goes to check and I'm eating the stuff.
I know Goldie will steal the wee ones cooked oatmeal with milk in it but raw?
Is my family a bad influence on me?

I'm a bit worried about you. I think perhaps you need to go back to kitty school.

Now we are just as confused as you, Shade! Errr, is ur tummy feeling funny so u get extra roughage from the 'vege'?
Don't worry Shade, it was only a snack.
My mommy is a vegetarian too. I always insist on tasting her food, but I always just end up playing with it instead of eating it.
We do not care for any people food. Well... except maybe Whipped Cream. But we think Whipped Cream is a cat food that people like.
Actually Shade, we think you're quite the smart one with a very sensible and healthy diet (just be sure it does NOT include mouse-protein should he return...). PS tell Goldie she will be in our High Five this coming Saturday.
Hmmm, this is awkward. We are dedicated mousers here. But we can unnerstand that yer Beins affec yer behavior. Ya do hafta get along wif them...
We were gonna ship ya a mousie to play wif in private, but The Big Thing said that probly isnt allowed in the mail...
I say, whatever looks good to you at any given moment.....

Hi! I finally get to come and visit my friends. How are you doing?
I think that looks like a very healthy snack!
I hope that you have a wonderful day!
Should I be worried about myself as well? This past weekend I turned down chicken in favor of green beans . . . I'm afraid this may not be mancatly.
Shade
It's OK to branch out and try new things....

I think it was just an appetizer.
Oh no, Shade! Next thing you know you'll be eating twigs and berries!

Hmm, Shade, I think we should be concerned.
Thank you and Goldie for coming to my party this past weekend! Didn't we have a great time?!
You're such a kidder, Shade! Of course you're not turning vegan. You're just showing your humans that you're desperately hungry and that they must give you more Good Food at once! With luck, they'll forget that they fed you an hour ago... ;-)
Don't worry Shade, expanding your palette is never a bad thing!
MUAHAHAHAHHAA YOOR BEANS ARE RUBBIN OFFS!
Hahaha you iz just very healthy!!!
I posted a little bit ago how I like to eat mommas breakfast every morning. My friends that come to visit thought it was just coz of the milk, but I actually don't really touch the milk I eat all the grains and stuff ( iz a healthy mix of like different seeds etc).
As kittehs our bodies a lean killing machines, well not killing but we iz programmed to eat what we needs or feels iz good for us ( and what tastes good) :P
Shade - You eat whatever you feel like. We haven't brought in a mousie or chipmunk in weeks and we're still going strong!!
:o) Thomas, Phoebe and Trixie
Maybe you just needed roughage?
Yech! Where's the stinky goodness?
