I love my slab

I love my slab

First off, I want to apologize for not visiting any of my friends the last couple of days. Last minute, on Tuesday, the MM decided to rent a jackhammer to do some work that needed to be done in the basement/crawlspace. The PM said she didn't want to stick around and listen to that all day so she packed up the wee ones and they went to stay at The Nanny's. Not only did we have to listen to racket for three day, we couldn't visit our friends and the MM forgot to give us any Stinky Goodness. The nerve!!!!! The PM came home late yesterday afternoon and it didn't get much better as the wee lad ended up getting the sickness the wee-est one had on the weekend and he was pretty wiped out and I dare say, so was the PM. She did give us some wet food and said she would be helping us visit our friends, Friday and through the weekend. It is kind of slow moving around here but at least I have my whole family back home.

Now back to my post~

Banshee spoke of her "love of clutter" yesterday so today I want to share with you one of my favorite "room to sprawl" spaces.

This is a type of island that The Grampie made for the PM after they bought the house. The top is made for one huge single slab of tree.

The PM finally got it cleared off and that is how I like it. It had been buried under piles of things since before Christmas.

It makes the perfect place on which to bathe.

It is very smooth and the perfect size for me!

It also looks great with my colour of  fur which is always a bonus!

I'm a great believer in having the furniture matching your furs, too!

That is a lovely slab for stretching out on and bathing on.
You didn't get any Stinky Goodness??? That is terrible. Eric likes crunchies better, but I love Stinky Goodness and only eat the crunchies if I am desperate.

Hi Goldie. Gosh, being left at home with lots of noise, no stinky goodness, and no PM sounds really rough! Sorry to hear that the pink kittens have been unwell, too. You do look so handsome on that slab...great piece of wood that shows your golden furs off to full advantage.

I wonder if the folks at Kohler might want to consider this slab idea for their line of bath fixtures. I think it has real potential. Especially since it looks so good with us orange cats.

That is an awesome table! I want one too, but we haf no big trees in the house. There's only a thin lavendar plant, a small curry plant and some baby bamboos. I dun fink they'll make good tables.

Wow! I'm out and about in the woods and I don't have a tree table!

You and that table were made for each other!

That slab is just perfect for you, Goldie. The color match with your fur is perfect. Three days of noise and no Stinky Goodness and no PM must have been horrible. Thank goodness it is all over now.
