Oh PM, please get up earlier so I can blog!!!!!!

This is so unfair! Normally the PM gets up around 5:00-5:30 so she can help me blog but since she has been sick she's been sleeping in until 6:30 when the wee ones get up. I miss the quiet time, just her, a coffee and me. Once those wee ones get up, it's game over for me. I try to get her on the computer after the wee ones go to bed but to tell the truth she is pretty useless by then. The Music Man is normally on it anyway with his music stuff and Facebook. I have a meme to do, friends to visit, stories to tell, awards to brag about!

I need some fool proof ways to get her up. Anyone have a rooster who needs a good home?

No rooster here, but I do have a brother who's excellent at waking people up at 5am! This morning he poked Mummy until she fussed him at that time, while poking Dad's back and eventually attempting kitty acupuncture on it too! ;) I think he was just asking for more room in the bed, but it worked and he does it most days... If you are interested in hiring him, I shall ask Ramses what his hourly rate is! ;)

Goldie,

I know just how you feel.Mom wanted to take a longer break yet I said no way. When we were on break she'd sleep

Oh no! We hope your mom feels better soon. Sending healing purrs her way. We wake up our dad for breakfast, by sitting on his shoulder and tapping him gently on the face, and then breathing in his face. It usually works. When dad isn't home, we wake up mom. If they don't respond to the face tapping, we start whining, and that usually gets them up!

Um, Gandalf has great success every day. He walks on Mom and lays on her houlder and purrs in her face. If this isn't immediately successful, he brings out the big guns... he walks on her face.

Rarely is the next step necessary, so exercize extreme caution: he will put a bitey on her nose. This method will wake her up, but it will usually not provide the intended results.

I'd be happy to help you out Goldie, I have some patented methods! Try:

licking the eyebrow/eyelid
standing on the PM's bladder (or boobs)
sticking your nose in her mouth
pushing your paw up her nose
and if all else fails - biting the nose (but that usually gets me yelled at, so use with care).

If none of that works, I'll come over and help! But we hope your PM gets well soon and none of this is needed :-)

Oh, how sad! You look neglected. I think Jake made some good suggestions. Try those and see if she'll get up any earlier. Meanwhile, we'll wish for her to feel better very soon!

Think we should have a party at my place?

When Meowm isn't getting out of bed.....I get my face real close to hers so that my whiskers tickle, or go inside her nose.....that gets her everytime!

You're looking pretty desperate there! I sure hope your mom feels better soon.

No roosters here. I wish there were!

Poor Goldie, you look heartbroken!

Thundering herd of elephants usually works. Or playing jingle ball at 4:30 am. If she tries to lock you out of the room, then scream and fling yourself at the door over and over and over. It works like a charm at our house.

Love,
Tazo

Hi Goldie and Shade! Goldie, did you catch that fly? I have been wondering about it for several days. It is important to catch flies when you spot them! They are fast but the paw of death is faster! Shade, I do not know how any self respecting cat can sit in a sink. This greatly disturbs me. The sound of running water is a sign to run for the farthest to reach corner under the bed. Are you part woofie???

Purrs (and still sending purrs about Baby Kitty - so sad),

Isn't 5:00 a bit early to get up? Your Mommy is very strong! Pumuckl likes to wake us up by tickling and chewing our toes or by destroying the bedroom. Hope your Mom feels better soon.

Here's how I get mine Mummy up. Jump onto her and aim your paws on the middle of her thwoat. Or, wick wight into her nostwil. Warning: it may taste a bit funny.
Or, meow wight into her ears.
And the final one if all else fails, give the the biteys on her toesies!

I can wend you That Thing too. I've taught him a good many ways of waking mine Mummy too.

I am sorry to hear that your Mommie is not feeling well, but she should not be neglecting you! I do not have a rooster, but I meow a lot at a really high pitch. Maybe I can visit and come meow in her ear! That is how I get Mommie and Daddie up... it is also how I get kicked out of the bedroom....

Hello Goldie and Shade....!

You have been busy waiting, or sitting in the sinks....I hope you get to go back on the computer very soon. It's aggravating when they won't help us with our computer fun isn't it?

Hope your mom is better soon. Sending purrs her way. My cousin Charlotte has dozens of ways to wake humans up but if your mom is sick, you shouldn't try it. Anyway, you have so many sugestions already. I would dare try any since I am dead scared of becoming a stray kitty again.

You look so cute in that photo.
