Christmas Wrap-Up

Christmas Wrap-Up

Everyone has been so busy running around this Holiday that we haven't had any time to post. I put my paw down and said we had to do one last one this year so here we are. Us cats are pretty bushed after this past week too.

Christmas with a 4 and 6 year old can be a little wild!

We did a couple of swaps with some fine German kitties this Christmas. Our first one was from our friends Luna, Olli and Luzie. The PM had planned on opening it on Christmas with all of us around but the wee lad had picked it up at the mailbox and was so excited it was opened early with no camera. We got the photos later.

Some cool toys!

A neat felted kitty!

Yummy, yummy treat sticks!!!!!

Some cute ornaments for our cat tree.

Thanks so much Luna, Olli and Luzie!! We loved everything including the pieces of dried nip from your garden!

Our next package came from our furiends Siena and Chilli!

I got to take my time opening this one on Christmas Day.

Filled with some great soft ball toys!

Very good for bunny kicking!!

Some neat German treats, you foreign kitties have all the cool yummies!!

This is a special wet felted turtle.

See? Very special! He's to be filled with this stuff~

Valerian!! We had heard about how cats liked it but we don't have any around here. This is how this swap came about. That stuff is powerful!!!!

Shade had a little whiff...

... and was strung out for hours!!

Thanks so much Chilli and Siena!!!!!!

Finally, we want to say thank you to all the kitties that sent us cards, paper and vitual ones! The PM has a cat tree for us in the kitchen where all our cards go.

It looks great! We haven't received them all yet so if yours isn't there it must still be in the mail. Our postman must be ill or on holiday as we haven't gotten any mail yet this week!!

The wee ones also took some cards for a display in their room so we can see them all over!!

The PM put this seat right beside our tree and we all fight for it!!

Goldie normally hogs it though!

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year and we'll see you all in 2010!!

We are all busy this Christmas Eve, getting the house ready.

I am giving my tail a good goin' over; spreading peace and apricot floof all over the table cloth.

Banshee is in charge of the milk for Santa.

I have been practicing some carols.

We are all set, now the hard part..........the waiting.........

Have a fun filled Christmas Eve all our furiends!!!

Cone Fear

Cone Fear

I have been hanging out in my favorite BRD-TV window everyday since the decorations have been put up. I like all the greenery, makes me feel like I am outside but warm with food two feet away.

Somethings are making me a bit nervous.

These pinecones are huge!!! They are as high as my chest. They are not from around here, they came from way across Canada, from British Columbia. The PM loves them, and is in search of even bigger ones from Sugar Maples.

I just keep imagining how big the trees are that these suckers came from. That would make for real big forests too. I wonder if there are any Sasquatch there. Maybe one actually touched one of these cones!

That's it, I am changing windows.

The PM spent the weekend making reversible placemats for The Nanny. It is the last project she had to do for Christmas. She started right after breakfast, ironing all the fabric. She ironed on a towel at the kitchen table so she could go quickly. But of course, you can't expect to go too quick around here.

I was upstairs and came down like a heat seeking missile, jumping right up.

It was so warm and cosy.

Of course Banshee had to join me, she hates to be left out.

A wonderful place to sit and watch our feathered friends.

Last night when they were all finished, ready to wrap, Banshee gave them one last pressing and furrifying. The Nanny can't expect a fur free gift can she?

Upgraded BRD-TV

Upgraded BRD-TV

The Grampie was over with the Nanny and he did a great job getting us all set for the bird feeding season. Last year we had bird feeding chair but it was too close to the ground and got buried under snow pretty quickly.

We are pleased to announce our current winter channel line up.

Of course now they are all covered with snow like this.

The birds have found them all and it looks like a spendid drooling season is in store.
