Scouting

Scouting

I spent some time looking through the leaves in the "kill mulch" part of the garden. The mice think they are safe in there but they are mistaken. I hope the PM does this to another part of the garden next Spring as it appears to have worked. The weeds keeled over but the critters are flourishing.

The PM saw me in the grass shortly afterwards and I was dancing around, throwing "leaves" in the air. I looked so happy that she came over camera in hand, ready to capture a great shot for the Frisky Fall Contest. When she walked over, I took my "leaf" and ran into the berm.  This is the shot she got.

Well, it sort of came from a tree and it does...er, I mean, did glide through the air.

:::BELCH:::

Sorry,excuse me.

Looks (and sounds) like that was a very satisfying "leaf" indeed.

Those "leaves" are definitely the very best things to play with!

Um, I think those are unusual um leaves. I feel a bit squeamish, should I admit that?

"Kill mulch" is a very apt name. Your "leaves" look like a lot more fun to play with than the leaves around here.

Goldie, you are my hero! Can you imagine that my human put a string with a bell around my neck the first times I got out?! Even though it's gone now (I "lost" it) I haven't catched anything of size yet. The insect in my yard are shuddering with fear though...
Thanks for stepping by at my new place!

I burped too when I read this.
Feathers give me indigestion, even the ones that just leak out of pillows on the bed.

But oh, don't the wild feathers smell good?

Yum.

I hope there was not a bird attached to those feathers once.....was there?

Some "leaves" are more active and fun than others. ;)
