Mancat Monday

Mancat Monday

This week is going to be a busy one out here in the woods. The wee lad is having his 7th birthday party here on Saturday and it is going to a Lego party. I thought that didn't sound too bad until the PM said they were going to put together ALL of the Lego kits that we have. So this will be a huge undertaking. First pieces have to be sorted, lost pieces found and then big booklets followed with building instructions. Last year it took the PM 2 1/2 days to build a big Agents Command Truck so I don't know how this is going to work really.

Building, cleaning, planning, decorating plus homeschool all day and trips into town for groceries and swimming. Whew!!

Banshee and I will are helping with the school work. It's the least we can do.

The only other post we'll be doing this week is the Winter Olympic event but it may just be a demonstration event for me as no one has joined in. If you like to use snow as a latrine please check out our invite!

I am getting myself all ready for the special Cat Olympics Week coming up! Want to look my best for sure.

Our friend Fin came up with the idea and we'd thought it would be fun. We also felt that since the Winter Olympics are being held in Canada, we should do something in the spirit of the games.

So, we are putting together a special event to run next Wednesday. We are going to be holding the first ever Winter Olympic Outdoor Water Event!

This is a new cutting edge sport and takes lots of talent and plenty of guts.

Does this scene make you want to go pee?

If you answered yes or even maybe then come on over for the event! We are looking for competitors who have used the facilities in the great white. Don't be ashamed, this is our time to unite and show the world what real snow pee-ers look like. Grab your toque and come on over!!

To participate, please send us a few photos of you in action out there amongst the flakes with a small description of why you do what you do and how it makes you feel. We know this isn't a game for all but we hope we'll get some real adventurers coming out!

Send any info to danica_130 at yahoo dot com.

The PM and wee ones are away until Sunday so we hope to get visiting our friends soon!!

For all of you that have missed seeing the B&W beauty out here in the woods~

Enjoy.

Mancat Monday

Mancat Monday

I have been trying to get this up all day but our internet was off due to the storm. I thought I'd just do it tomorrow but Shade has already staked claim for Tuesday. Oh well, better late than never!!!

We finally have the camera up and running and were able to upload our pics. Whew!!

This post is a multi-purpose catch all!

First off we'd like to thank our great friend Lucy for the following award.

It is very pretty, thanks for thinking of us!

We received our draw prize from Jasmim and Giselle from Brazil!!

A yummy lobster!! It is actually lobster season over here on the East Coast!

Pretty jewelery for the PM too! Lovely.

We also recieved this wonderful gift from our friends at Quilt Cat.
A gorgeous cat mat with nip inside, a beautiful card and a great smelling sachet. We were so surprised and it really made our day!! Thanks furiends!!!

Speaking of furry friends, our foxy pals have been hanging around out back. It is apparently mating season and I think our backyard is a kind of Lover's Lane.

The past few months, we have lost a few dear friends. We had stopped doing individual posts as we found it too hard but we still want to remember our friends who have left for The Bridge.

One of our first friends, Halloween

The expert huntress, LC

The gardening faerie, Charybdis

Dear furiends, may you be at peace at the Bridge, surrounded by friends who have come before. We picture you frolicking in the open fields with the warm wind in your fur.

We still don't have a working camera so I can not show you an updated photo of my tuxie self. The PM tried to find a recent one but my photo has not been taken in awhile. Pathetic really. The PM said that maybe if I moved from my bed by the fire and actually DID something, more photos would be taken. Well, there is a wind chill of -31 this morning so I rather be by the fire thank you very much!

Today I take the great pleasure of discussing the faults of the clawed members of this family. Yes, living with Goldie and Banshee is not always a bed a fresh smelling roses!

Right before Christmas, we bought a new chair for the livingroom.

Goldie and Banshee both love it and there is always one of them lounging on it. The PM has since noticed a few pulls in the fabric and is now freaking out.

See, Goldie and Banshee have a scratching problem and the PM does not want our new chair to look like our couch.

We have scratching pads and such but the two of them prefer the furniture. Now I think it's funny that the two of them are getting in trouble but I know it stressed the PM out. Now does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the chair in one piece? Right now the PM keeps it covered with two blankets but it isn't very pleasing to look at.
