VICTORY!

VICTORY!

I got it, I got IT, I GOT IT!!!!!!!

Yes, I am great, I used my superb tracking and hunting skills and that sly mouse is GONE!!! I knew if I waited long enough, he'd make another appearance. It didn't last long though. I am sooooo good it scares me, really.

There was just a very small problem with the situation, a slight issue that put a damper on my enthusiasm.

I know, I know, not good.

I am not sure what happened but it has been so long since I got a vile mouse that I may have been a little too zealous with my post kill corpse fling.

As you can see, the mouse ended up IN the wee ones toy basket in the livingroom. The discovery of said mouse was actually really quite funny. Well, to me at least.

Wee one (2 1/2 yrs old)~ Momma, where is my moose?
PM~ Check your basket.
Wee one (2 1/2 yrs old)~(Takes all the big toys out)~ Momma, there's a mouse in here.
PM~Yes, that's what you were looking for.
Wee one (2 1/2 yrs old)~ No, a mouse.
PM~Isn't that what you wanted?
Wee one (2 1/2 yrs old)~ NO, a mouse. Come see.
PM~Ahhhhh! It is MOUSE.
Wee one (2 1/2 yrs old)~ That's what I saaaaaid!

Funny eh?

PM didn't think so. I got the "leave a dead mouse where I can see it right away" speech. They should be happy I am so fierce. What do they want, a house filled with vermin?

Any way, I am happy. MANCAT MONDAY indeed!

Terrific job killing the mouse! :) We are laughing at how it ended up in the toy basket. Our mom says she can understand why your mom might be a bit upset at that. You are a great hunter, Goldie! We are very impressed. We have never seen a real, live mousie.

Yeah, I know how that goes. I stored on in the closet and she was like "What were you doing, saving it for later?" Well...it WAS the storage closet....

At least you didn't get blood over all the toys.

I am very amazed and impressed that you got that mousie. I have never even seen a real, live one before. I think you were being very tidy to put the mousie into the basket instead of leaving it laying around.

wow! you are awesome! hey, i think a mouse should go in the toy box, because they are fun to play with! excellent job! you are one awesome Mancat dude.
guess what guess what guess what!! I almost forgot to tell you! cause mommy had to get up so early on sat. to go to her thing, she was watching out the windows hours right at dawn and guess what sauntered thru our yard and into the woods in the back....A FOX! It was so cool! We haven't seen one in years (we thought they got scared off by all the construction in the new neighborhood down the street) and there it was!

Good job getting the mouse! But, yeah, probably should find a better place to display your prowess next time.

Well done - way to take care of that mouse! Though Mommy laughed, she said she would have had to have the same talk with us if we had done that. Beans just don't get it sometimes!

WOW! a real mouse!

i only get mousey mousey toys.

I fling them. I bite them. I carry them. But they never move themselves.

I want a victory such as yours.

good job at getting that mousie. I usually leave them in the open for mum to get rid of.

Yeah! Another one bites the dust!
What better toy is there in the world than a dead mouse anyway?
You should have been thanked for adding an interactive toy to the collection.
I almost caught a squirrel yesterday. I would have put it in the office. Just cuz.

Wow! I've never seen a real live mousie either - I probably wouldn't know what to do with it.

LOL that's a good story! I remember when my kitty gifted me with a mousie, left it under my bed, and my initial reaction was to shriek. She looked at me with a very hurt, offfend expression :)

Good job buddies!
My feline family tends to avoid rodents & stay away from mice coz' most of my feline members feel a kind of disgust to rodents;) They prefer junk food as their beloved human do:)
