After my daily romp in the field, I noticed something had come back inside with me.
Maybe I can keep it as my own pet. I'll name him Buzz.
He is a tad slow.
Really, really slow.
Here let me help you along.

Goldie you iz so thoughtful and nice for helping the poor slug along...
Dear Goldie,
I think you are lucky to be allowed to have such a pet. My mom says she would not, because I would eat it. In fact, I would like some of her breakfast right now but... *eyes the squirt bottle close at hand*
Purrs,

wow, Nixon and Fatty sure are jealous of your new pet.
You are so lucky. My mom wouldn't let me have a pet like that in the house!
Thank you so much for your condolences about Emil, we really appreciate it.
Is that a new look for your blog? I love it! And congratulations to your pet, we don't have such animals here in the desert.
We won't be blogging for a few days, it is quiet here, we miss Emil...

I have slug "pets" too! They come into my kitchen at night. I couldn't bear to kill them but I would like to find a way of keeping them out without harming them:) xxx
