Until we meet again...

Until we meet again...

We are so very sorry to hear that our dear friend Skeeter has gone to the Bridge. He lived a wonderful life filled with love, friends, warmth and adventure. We will miss him and send our purrs of comfort to his Big Thing, Mark and his fur family, LC and Ayla.

The PM is storm stayed in the city so we do not have any nice photos to add.

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...

(trad. Celtic prayer)

Skeeter, scout out the best hunting spots on the Bridge and we'll run in the wilds when we meet
again.

We just read about sweet Cloud Chaser and Mr. Kelly. Three lovely mancats gone to the Bridge. Purrs to all their families.

We know that Skeeter and Kelly are Cloudy's "Bridge Litter Mates" and that they're playing together and watching over all of us.

Thanks for thinking of us.

It was a very sad day in the Cat Blogosphere. My heart goes out to their families. I know that Mr. Kelly, Cloud Chaser and Skeeter are all having a wonderful time together at the Rainbow Bridge.

That poem is one of our favourites and "Storm-Stayed" is one of our favourite expressions!

We are sad too about Skeeter but happy he lived such a good life. That is all any of us can hope for.
