.

I have been feeling rather left out on the blog, quite a bit of girlie chatter going on. I have decided to dedicate most of this week to myself. Flood the blog with apricot floof for a change!!

The beans arrived home last night with both of the wee ones feverish. The PM was concerning herself with helping the Music Man carry them inside from the car and she held the door open for him. I saw my chance and I bolted out the door, across the yard and up a pine tree. It was dark and the moon was full. I was so excited to be out. I ran down the tree and went straight up another!!

The PM was upset as she was thinking I would take off to the field and not want to come in. We have coyote poo in the yard and the PM knows they roam around at night so she had to get me in. I climbed down the tree and she slowly walked over talking to me. I started rolling around in the pine needles and she scooped me up and I let her bring me in. I was purring up a storm, so excited to have had a moonlight run!

I have also decided, this week, that I am going to display some of the interesting napping spots I have here out in the woods.

Today's interesting perch is the wire basket on a shelf in the kitchen.

Surprisingly comfy. The PM loves the floof spillage.

You look...ah...wonderful in that basket! The feline version of muffin tops?

Glad you let the PM scoop you up. Coyotes are scary!

That must have been lots of fun to run up the trees in the moonlight. We are glad you let the PM catch you though. Coyotes are bad news.
You look cute in that basket. You certainly fill it well.

We're looking forward to a week of Goldie! Running in the moonlight musta been fun, but it's a good thing you let the PM bring you in. And that basket is almost the purrfect size for you!!

Thanks for the nip drying tips! Mom didn't know she could use the oven so she's gonna try that today!

That wire basket looks like a most excellent spot to nap. I have a similar-looking plant stand that I nap in. Something about the wire mesh is surprisingly comfortable. But please be careful on those midnight runs. We don't want to run into someone else also having a midnight run...

That wire basket with the foliage compliments your apricot furs beautifully. Hope the little beans are feeling a bit better today! And, glad you had a little moonlight stroll last night and didn't wander off too far!

It's a Basket 'O Goldie! I am not so sure you should run outside after dark, though. Be careful!

Goldie, I'm so glad you had a little taste of freedom, but also that your mom was able to bring you back in to safety. No point taking any chances with coyotes around.

You look very mancatly and handsome in that basket. It's a good fit!

That basket complements you beautifully. Great fit. Be careful of the coyotes. I don't know what they are but SS reassures me they are not kitty's furriends. The only other common 'wild' animal I know is a possum.

Apricot floof sounds good to me. Trouble is it might sound good to a coyote too, so you be careful on your midnight escapes. Sometimes Bailey's curiosity and excitement just get the better of him and ...zip...out he goes. But he knows he's in trouble and then he's a little bit awed by the big trees and shrubs, so he remembers himself and I get to pick him up quite easily. Thank goodness he's not a runner.

moonlight run eh? we can only dream of such things. We live through your blog. Us house kittehs never get the wonderful taste of the air outside. It's just not fair. Mom says it's much safer though, as we've known a few cats to be found rabid around this area.

Sometimes you just gotta make a run for it!

Looks like a fancy cage, glad you made a break for it, but let yourself be captured.

We support your suggestion for mancat WEEK. This is very sensible.

What an adventure! Escapista Goldie, well done. The poor PM though, I know how much mommies worry. Purrs to the feverish little beans!!!
